We met dancing on the floor at the Silver Rose Saloon in Westville, NJ in 1991, learning a line dance called the "38" We've been dancing together ever since! Dance has become our way of life and we love it. It has brought us many good times and many more good friends.

We danced Country & Western for a couple of years, learning all the partner dances with 2 Step being our favorite, then visited a little 3 day convention in Cape May, N.J. where we were mesmerized by West Coast Swing. We started taking lessons in West Coast and quickly became addicted. Before long we were competing and traveling to events from coast to coast.                                                                                                            

After a few years of dancing and traveling for West Coast Swing, we were introduced to Carolina Shag, the official state dance of South Carolina. This smooth style swing dance captured our hearts the minute we saw it and we traveled the Shag circuit for years, competing in CSA contests throughout the South and demonstrating and teaching this dance to anyone who would give us a chance.. In the year 2000 we founded the Delaware Valley Shag & Swing Club and are to this day, the acting president and vice-prez of this not-for-profit dance group..

In 2005, after having danced on several competitive WCS and Carolina Shag dance teams, we organized, coached and choreographed The Atrium Swing Team, the first West Coast Swing performance team in the Phila/S. Jersey area. We did a second team in 2007, and  then a third team in  '08.

We offer ongoing West Coast Swing and Carolina Shag Classes and we host weekly and monthly swing dance parties at the Atrium Dance Studio, Rte # 130 in Pennsauken.

Somewhere along the way Rob developed a passion for playing the music we dance to. He has become an excellent DJ and has been invited to play at both local and national dance events.   In addition to Dj-ing the weekly and monthly dance parties that Rob & Sheila host, Dj-Rob provides music editing services. If you need a song cut, slowed down, mixed, or edited - he is the man to see. Rob is a member of the Association of  Beach and Shag Club DJs, AllSwingDj, and GlobalSwingDj groups, and is available to DJ parties, weddings, corporate functions and other events.

Our love for music and dance has taken us to many exciting places; we've danced &met many fun and interesting people, danced & developed some wonderful friendships, we've danced & and learned so much along the way.
